Video 3: Final
I have finished my third and final video for this project. It took me a little while in the beginning to figure out what I wanted to do for this project, but I am happy with how it turned out. I feel that in terms of the text it creates, it is very different between my audience and me. For me, this project was all about trying something new. While I have some practice animating, none of my artworks have had this level of abstraction (or at least none that I designed myself). And one thing that I have never done, in any of my previous pieces of art, is create an original score. To me, these are the aspects that stand out in my series the most. I look at them and see how I was about to create something in a way that is new to me.
For others, I am sure it is a completely different text. I guess I don’t necessarily know how others view this project, but I would assume they aren’t too focused on my creative process. I have posted all three videos on my YouTube channel now, just as a way to get them out there. I would think that all the viewers, at least the ones who have seen a majority of my work, would question why there are these three small abstract animations scattered through my more narrative films on my channel. I guess I don’t know how they would view this project, but that also wasn’t what I was focusing on while making these. I had somewhat of a vision/inspiration I was trying to capture when creating these animations, but ultimately, I was making it up as I went, so I think it is only fair if the viewer does the same.
